We never used to think so much about our food supply. We assumed that the very food that we bought at our local market was safe for consumption. This seemed like a reasonable conclusion as it seems unimaginable to think that anybody would sell food that was somehow unsafe. However as there was more and more attention given to pesticides, people grew somehow concerned about the foods that they eat. Though we want our foods to look, smell, and feel a certain way, are we willing to pay any price for the aesthetics? The reality is that pesticides may not only be harmful to the environment, but also to our health as well. Here we take a look at just how harmful the consumption of pesticides may really be.

Immediate Reactions Can Happen
Though many of us think of the damage from pesticides as being long term, the reality is that it can affect you in the here and now. Some people are allergic to the active ingredients in pesticides and may not even know it. This can result in a terrible reaction in the mouth, throat, eyes, nose, or skin.
